Standing On The Side Of Life

I have spent years working on rights for the unborn. In 2009 we finally took the first steps toward strengthening pro-life laws in Tennessee with the Republican Legislative majority won under my leadership of the Tennessee Republican Party. I will take that same determination to protect innocent life to Washington. For my efforts in the cause to protect innocent life, I am honored to have been endorsed in this campaign by Susan B. Anthony List, the leading national advocacy group for pro-life women in politics and Concerned Women for America, the nation's largest organization of conservative women in public policy.

Defending Our 2nd Amendment Rights

As a gun owner and member of both the National Rifle Association and the Tennessee Firearms Association, I am committed to opposing any new attempts to impose restrictions on our 2nd Amendment rights by the Congress, the courts or the President. Our Constitution is clear that we as Americans have the right to keep and bear arms. I will always defend this right.

Protecting The Institution Of Marriage

In 2006, more than 80% of Tennesseans declared their support at the polls for the belief that marriage is between one man and one woman. I stand with that 80%. No one should ever be discriminated against or feel threatened for the life they lead, but Tennesseans have spoken on this issue.

I am very proud that my record of standing on pro-life, pro family and conservative issues has been validated with endorsements from National Eagle Forum and the Family Research Council Action PAC.
