Today I received the endorsement of Club for Growth, the preeminent national network of thousands of pro-growth Americans who advocate on behalf of our nation’s free market system and work for lower taxes on the American people.

In announcing their endorsement, Club for Growth President Chris Chocola applauded my record of consistent support for fiscally conservative policies. "Robin Smith is already a pro-growth conservative hero, an all-star ready to step up to the major leagues. She has been fighting for pro-growth principles for two decades, and has a proven record of taking on tax-and-spenders, even in her own party."

This is a tremendous day for our campaign. I am honored and humbled that Club for Growth has recognized my twenty years of working on the front lines of the conservative cause. Long before my entry into this race for Congress, as a volunteer, a county party chairman and as Chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party I have consistently fought for candidates and principles that support economic freedom. They understand I will defend the interests of the Third District against the economic assault Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama have launched on our working families. By endorsing my campaign, Club for Growth has recognized that I am the candidate for Congress who will fight for our right to limited taxes, more open markets, less regulation and policies that will restore the American dream.

With this endorsement it is clear that conservative leaders are joining the voters of the Third District in supporting our campaign. They have heard my message of consistent conservative leadership and are coming to support our cause.
