Fleischmann Goes On The Attack To Save Sinking Campaign

HIXSON, JULY 16 – The Campaign of Third District Congressional Candidate Robin Smith issued the following response to the latest effort by trial lawyer Chuck Fleischmann to smear Smith in the final days of the campaign:

“Tonight, Chuck Fleischmann has admitted he is losing the race by releasing the first false and negative ad of the campaign. Unfortunately desperate candidates often resort to ugly tactics when the end of a losing campaign is in sight.

Trial lawyer Chuck Fleischmann is doing just that, saying anything to try and get elected and trying to smear Robin Smith with deceptive and false charges. The truth is Robin Smith was the most successful state chairman in the history of the Tennessee Republican Party - and she did it in an election dominated by democrats nationwide. Robin smith is the only chair in modern history to elect a majority in both houses of the legislature. She led a turnout operation that produced the strongest GOP presidential vote in the state in 20 years.

 It's time for trial lawyer Chuck Fleischmann to get his campaign out of the gutter. He should join Robin Smith in a real discussion of the critical issues facing the nation. Anything less is beneath the stature of the office he seeks.”
