Tea Party Nation Founders Endorse Robin Smith
HIXSON, JULY 16 – Tea Party Nation Founders Judson and Sherry Phillips have endorsed Robin Smith for the Republican nomination in Tennessee’s Third Congressional District. In announcing the endorsement, Judson Phillips said, “Robin is a true conservative. She has supported the tea party movement since its beginning and spoke at the very first tea party rally I held at Legislative Plaza in downtown Nashville in February 2009.” “While some politicians waited to see which way the wind was blowing, Robin jumped in with her convictions and her full support. Other politicians conditioned their support on being publicly associated with the tea party movement and wanted to know what they could gain. Robin, on the other, hand worked tirelessly behind the scenes motivated only by her desire to help this country.” Smith thanked Judson and Sherry Phillips as well as the members of Tea Party Nation. “At a time when the federal government threatened to overrun our freedoms without dissent, Tea Party Nation and other like minded groups rose up and lead the charge back to a desire for responsible and accountable government. Judson, Sherry and all the dedicated patriots who call for limited government that honors our Constitution should be thanked for their courageous stand. I am appreciative of their support.” Tea Party Nation joins Chattanooga Tea Party leaders Mark West and Karen Chastain in endorsing Robin Smith’s candidacy for Congress.
