Jefferson County Mayor Alan Palmieri Endorses Smith
DANDRIDGE, TN – Jefferson County Mayor Alan Palmieri today announced his endorsement of Robin Smith in the campaign for Tennessee’s Third District seat in Congress. “I am pleased to add my support to Robin’s campaign,” Palmieri said. “Robin has demonstrated an unmatched commitment to regional development, working to address the challenges facing our individual counties and working with local officials to make our state a better place to live. Citizens of Jefferson County have seen Robin’s commitment in her many visits to our area. She listens to our concerns and understands the issues important to us. She will make a strong partner as we work toward greater regional cooperation. Robin understands that the creation of good jobs can’t be achieved county-by-county. Jobs will come to our area through regional partnership and by working with our representative in Washington.” Smith thanked Mayor Palmieri for his support and noted his successful leadership in Jefferson County. “In my travels through Jefferson County, I repeatedly hear from local residents that Alan Palmieri makes a real difference in the lives of those he serves. Alan stands as a great example of a local leader who understands how to get things done. Jefferson County has made great strides under his tenure and all residents of the county can be proud of the leadership he provides. As we look for solutions to the problems facing the nation, effective officials like Alan are a valuable resource I will turn to and whose counsel I will rely on. I am exceptionally proud to have him join our team and look forward to working with him in the years ahead.” Mayor Palmieri is the eleventh state or local leader to announce his support of Robin Smith.
