Kelly Brexler Joins Smith Campaign

HIXSON, APRIL 19 – Third District Congressional Candidate Robin Smith today announced the addition of Kelly Fisher Brexler to her campaign forCongress.

Brexler will serve as the campaign’s Finance Director, working with Smith’s established finance team. She comes to the campaign from the Chattanooga office of Senator Lamar Alexander and is active in many area charities, including the American Lung Association, American Heart Association, Hamilton County Medical Society and the March of Dimes. With her husband, she will be co-chairing the 2010 Lung Gala.

“I am pleased that Kelly has decided to join our team,”Smith said. “As the momentum for our effort continues to build, it has become necessary to add staff.  Kelly’s talent and energy will be valuable to us moving forward. She is known throughout the Tennessee Valley as a wonderful community activist who brings extensive experience in the political as well as private sectors to the campaign.”

Brexler expressed her enthusiasm for Smith’s campaign and the task of returning Republican majorities to the Congress. “Throughout her twenty years of standing up for my values, I have been proud to know Robin Smith as a friend, a leader, a wife and mother. Now I look forward to working each day between now and November 2 to make sure all Tennesseans get to know Robin as I do. I have no doubt they will see she is clearly the right choice to represent us in Congress. With the critical issues facing our nation, this is no time for politics as usual or candidates who don’t stand on principle. Those of us who have known and worked with Robin Smith for years understand she will always stand up for us.”

Brexler is married to Jim Brexler, CEO of Erlanger Medical Center. They have three children and attend Graceworks Church.
