Senator Mike Faulk Endorses Robin Smith
HIXSON, APRIL 8 – Third District Congressional Candidate Robin Smith today received the endorsement of Tennessee State Senator Mike Faulk (R-Kingsport). Elected in 2008 during Smith’s tenure as Chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party, Senator Faulk currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Calendar Committee. “I am pleased to add my name to the growing list of Tennesseans rallying to the cause of electing Robin Smith to Congress,” Senator Faulk said. “In 2008, I saw firsthand Robin’s commitment to standing Tennessee up against the liberal tide sweeping across the nation. Because she did stand up, Tennessee is better off. Because Robin Smith was Chairman of the state party, we not only rode out the liberal wave, but made Tennessee a success story by capturing majorities in the state legislature. I am convinced she will bring that same dedication to fighting for us in Washington. I encourage all my friends in Grainger, Union, Jefferson and Claiborne counties to join me in supporting Robin Smith” Smith thanked Senator Faulk for his endorsement and noted his positive impact on the State Senate. “In just two years, Mike Faulk has established himself as a leader for our state with a clear vision of the common sense direction we need to take. The voters of the Fourth Senate District saw in Mike the same leadership that I did when they chose him to represent them in Nashville and he has surpassed expectations as a member of the Senate. I am humbled that he would join our team and honor me with his support.” |
