Concerned Women for America Endorses Robin Smith
HIXSON, MARCH 2 – Third District Congressional Candidate Robin Smith received another coveted endorsement today as Concerned Women for America became the latest influential conservative organization to announce their support of her campaign. Concerned Women for America is the largest women’s public policy organization in the nation, combining experts on national issues with membership in local chapters to promote conservative values in federal and state government. In announcing their endorsement of Smith, Concerned Women for America CEO Penny Nance said “We endorsed Robin based on the fact that she has been there when leadership was required. She has stood for the principles she believes in as a local and state leader and we are sure she will bring the same conviction to addressing the critical issues facing the nation.” Smith thanked CWA for their support of her campaign by stating, “I am grateful for the trust Concerned Women for America has placed in me. Their endorsement is based on results over rhetoric. They understand that my consistent record of standing up for conservative values long before I considered running for office is in keeping with their mission to restore principled leadership to the federal government. CWA understands the difference between proven leadership and candidates who just repeat talking points to win office. With the daily attack on the traditions of our nation coming from Nancy Pelosi and her liberal friends, we need proven leaders now more than ever. I thank Beverly LaHaye, Penny Nance and the great leadership of CWA and look forward to working with them on issues critical to advancing the values of Tennessee’s Third District in Congress.” Concerned Women for America joins the Club for Growth and Susan B. Anthony List as the third national conservative group endorsing Smith since February 1. |
