Tony Sanders Named "Sportsmen for Smith" Chairman
HIXSON, JAN 26 – Third District Congressional Candidate Robin Smith today named Hamilton County resident Tony Sanders Chairman of the“Sportsmen for Smith” effort in support of her campaign. Sanders is host of the popular “Tony Sanders Outdoors” radio program focusing on a variety of topics important to sportsmen across Southeast Tennessee. He has served as the Chairman of the Hunter Safety program at Highland Sportsman Club in Chattanooga for the last six years. In 2001, Sanders was honored as the Tennessee Wildlife Federation and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Hunter Safety Instructor of the Year. He serves as Chairman of the annual “Friends of the NRA” dinner, raising funds to support firearm education, hunter safety, wildlife conservation, range improvements, youth marksmanship and law enforcement, among others. “I am proud to lend my voice and efforts to Robin Smith’s campaign. I look forward to letting sportsmen across the Third District know they have a friend in Robin,” Sanders said. “As long as I have known Robin, I have found her to be an unwavering supporter of our Second Amendment rights. Robin Smith understands the importance of the outdoors to Tennesseans, be it hunting, fishing or the many other great activities our part of the country provides.
